Site Engineer – Rail Structures Project London

Pinnacle Recruitment is currently seeking a Site Engineer to join a main contractor on a £150m rail project based in Central London. The project has approximately 18 months remaining, and the contractor has a £1bn order book within the rail and highways sectors.

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE (Plus Package)

Location: London

Region: London

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering
  • Previous main contractor experience, ideally in Rail
  • Strong setting out experience
  • Personal Track Safety Card

The Site Engineer will support the Agent and Project Manager, contributing to the delivery of multiple sites within the Rail scheme. Since the works are entirely within Network Rail Infrastructure, appropriate rail knowledge, experience, and competency are required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety, environmental, and sustainability standards on site
  • Supervising Junior Engineers and setting out
  • Managing quality and assurance aspects of the works
  • Implementing the project programme and possession plan
  • Supervising staff, operatives, plant, and subcontractors
  • Managing engineering aspects of the works
  • Maintaining excellent setting out proficiency
