Mercury Hampton is supporting a well-established contractor delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued workload, we are recruiting Site Engineer on a contract basis to support wastewater construction projects for a leading contractor within the UK water sector.

The Role

This is a hands‑on site role providing technical, organisational and supervisory support to ensure wastewater infrastructure works are delivered safely, accurately and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying wastewater infrastructure works
• Acting as the main technical adviser on site
• Interpreting drawings, specifications and quantities
• Ensuring materials and workmanship meet project standards
• Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
• Monitoring quality control and health & safetyAttending site meetings and preparing reports
• Resolving technical issues as they arise

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on wastewater projects
• Strong setting out and surveying capability
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Contract or freelance experience preferred
• Relevant engineering qualification advantageous
