Qualifications

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of a water infrastructure project in Kent. Working for a specialist subcontractor, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme on a live utilities site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting out for water infrastructure works including pipelines, chambers, pumping stations, and associated civils

  • Providing engineering support to site management and subcontractor teams

  • Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards

  • Managing as-built records and assisting with RAMS and ITPs

  • Carrying out site surveys, checks, and measurements

  • Liaising with the main contractor, client representatives, and design teams

  • Resolving technical and engineering issues on site

  • Monitoring quality and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met at all times

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on water or utilities infrastructure projects

  • Strong setting-out experience using GPS/Total Station equipment

  • Good understanding of clean and/or wastewater works

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • CSCS card (minimum requirement)

  • SMSTS or SSSTS desirable

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Full UK driving licence
