CarmichaelUK is looking for a Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor on a major highways project in South West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme, ensuring works are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering Control Setting out from primary control and ensuring works are completed Right First Time
• Method Statements & Task Briefings Preparing key documents and ensuring workforce understanding
• Safety & Compliance Conducting on-site safety inspections, hazard identification, and ensuring adherence to safe systems of work
• Permit to Dig Assisting in preparation and briefing to teams
• Subcontractor Management Monitoring attendance, progress, and providing direct instruction as required
• Quality Assurance Managing quality on-site and resolving issues or escalating where necessary
• Documentation & Reporting Producing as-built records, accurate daily diaries, and maintaining essential site records

About You:

• Experience as a Site Engineer on major highways or civil engineering projects
• Strong setting out and engineering control skills
• Understanding of health, safety, and quality requirements in civil engineering
• Excellent communication and subcontractor management abilities
• Proficiency in relevant surveying and CAD software
