Site Engineer - Large Industrial Steel Frame Projects

Location: UK-wide (regular working away required)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Engineer to join our growing delivery team, working on large-scale industrial steel frame units across the UK. This is a permanent role with a clearly defined career progression route to Senior Engineer within 5 years for the right individual.

The Role

You will play a key role in the successful delivery of major industrial and structural steel projects, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and engineering control for large industrial steel frame structures
• Managing quality control and ensuring works meet design and specification
• Coordinating with subcontractors, fabricators, and erection teams
• Producing and maintaining site records, RAMS, and as-built information
• Supporting project delivery from groundworks through steel erection and completion
• Upholding health & safety standards on site at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on industrial or steel frame projects
• Strong setting out and surveying skills
• Ability and willingness to work away from home as projects require
• Good understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and keen to progress your career
• Relevant engineering or construction qualification preferred
