Job summary

A leading principal contractor in the United Kingdom is looking for a Site Agent to manage rail infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee daily site operations, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and liaise with teams and stakeholders. Essential qualifications include SMSTS and PTS certifications, a CSCS card, and a degree in Civil Engineering. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality projects on time and budget across North and Mid-Wales.

Qualifications

Job description

We are working with a leading principal contractor delivering a diverse range of rail infrastructure projects for key clients including Network Rail and Transport for Wales. Their work spans across bridge reconstruction, station upgrades, tunnels, embankments, and footbridge schemes. Due to securing several new frameworks and additional work streams, they are growing their team and require a Site Agent to join their North Wales business. The successful individual will play a pivotal role in delivering a portfolio of new build footbridge schemes within North and Mid-Wales.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing daily site operation, including safety-critical activities
  • Overseeing site safety culture and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
  • Coordinating resource, plant, and material procurement
  • Ensuring work is executed in line with legislation, contract terms, and health and safety plans
  • Managing contract progress against programme and budget
  • Liaising with site teams, surveyors, and stakeholders to monitor and report on project progress
  • Identifying, managing, and implementing contract changes effectively
  • Producing formal progress reports for project and contract managers

You will report to a Project Manager and be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
