Position Overview

Ward F5/F2 currently have an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 6 post available within the cardiac division working on both F5 & F2 cardiac. F2/F5 are innovative wards caring for a wide range of inpatient and day case patients undergoing invasive cardiology procedures such as coronary angiogram, coronary angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and inpatients with conditions such as heart failure, endocarditis and myocardial infarction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care post‑procedure and discharge patients who have undergone the cardiac procedures mentioned above.
  • Co‑ordinate the movement of staff and patients between the two wards ensuring patients receive the appropriate level of care.
  • Develop leadership and management skills with the full assistance of the ward manager and matron.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 2 years cardiology experience, providing pre, post and discharge care of day case cardiology patients.
  • Valid NMC PIN.
  • Motivated, innovative and dynamic in thinking and practice, and able to work as an integrated member of the ward team.
Working Hours & Flexibility

A flexible approach to shift patterns is essential. Flexible working hours can include part time and job share.
