An exciting opportunity for a 12 month Secondment for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse has become available at our friendly Acute Renal unit at Shrewsbury Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dialysis nurse who is interested in gaining management experience and developing their leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

On the Dialysis Unit we care for acute and chronic patients requiring dialysis. Inpatient dialysis is done on Ward 35.

We care for patients undergoing Haemodialysis and focus on holistic care, we also promote self-care, which enables and empowers our patients. Our aim is to provide a high quality standard of individualised care and treatment to patients with established renal failure within a safe and supportive environment by friendly, competently trained staff.

You will be expected to participate in the on call rota as we cover out of hours emergency dialysis with an on call team - this is a band 6 and a B4/5

Dialysis experience is essential, you will be supported to complete your band 6 competencies while developing your leadership skills.
