An NHS healthcare provider in Uxbridge is seeking a Sister/Charge Nurse to lead the paediatric day care unit. The role involves professional leadership, operational management, and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate should have a paediatric nursing diploma, mentorship qualifications, and relevant experience. Competitive salary offered between £44,485 and £52,521 per annum.

To work collaboratively within a multi-professional team to provide a seamless service for children and young people attending the paediatric day care department at The Hillingdon Hospital.
To provide professional leadership and operational management of the paediatric day care unit.
To support the Senior Sister and Practice Development nurse in creating a dynamic environment which is conducive to learning, practice development and research within a framework of quality assurance.
To support the senior management team in the implementation and monitoring of local and national polices and quality care initiatives.
Act as an effective role model in demonstrating the behaviours expected from all staff with regards to displaying excellent interpersonal skills and high degree of professionalism, upholding the 'CARES' culture and values behavioural framework.
Although this post is based within the paediatric day care department, a degree of flexibility is expected from the post holder so that they can support both the inpatient ward and paediatric outpatients department should the need arise. As a member of a small team it is expected that you will share equally in the workload and work flexibly to provide cover for each other for periods of annual leave or sickness.
