Job summary

A healthcare organization in Tees Valley seeks a Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse to join their senior nursing team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic nurse to join the senior nursing team on Short Stay Elective Surgery under a permanent role as a Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse. The General Surgical ward cares for elective short stay patients but also takes a range of surgical patients from A&E and critical care step downs. The right person must have a passion and drive to provide high quality patient centred care. You will have worked previously as a band 5 and have experience in surgical nursing and have organisational and leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times. A teaching qualification, or working towards one is a desirable specification for the role of clinical sister. You will be expected to support the ward manager with managing the team with ward KPIs and model ward metrics and also deputise for the ward manager in their absence.
