Job summary

A leading specialist trade merchant in Exeter is seeking a Showroom Manager for a 12 month fixed term role. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maximizing sales, and leading the showroom team. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a retail or showroom management role, ideally within bathrooms or home improvement.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on sales growth and profitability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of bathroom products and trends (or willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Maximise sales and profit margins by understanding customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
  • Manage sales enquiries and quotations promptly.
  • Monitor and review sales staff performance.
  • Process customer orders via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and secure additional sales.

Showroom Manager (12 Month Fixed Term) - Sowton, Exeter - Plumb Centre

As a Showroom Manager (12 Month Fixed Term) based in Sowton you'll be responsible for:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times—be friendly, polite, and helpful, offering expert advice and guidance.
  • Maximise sales and profit margins by understanding customer requirements and maintaining excellent product knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and PPE requirements, promoting safe working practices.
  • Manage sales enquiries and quotations promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor and review sales staff performance, including their account portfolios.
  • Process customer orders via telephone, email, and face-to-face, arranging delivery or collection as required.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and secure additional sales.

This is a full time permanent role, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08:00 - 17:00. Saturday working 08:00-12:00 every other week.
