Shift Manager - Late Shift (Supply Chain / Logistics)

Location: Coalville, Leicestershire

Salary: c£40,000 + £3000 shift allowance + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits (see details below)

Shift Pattern: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

About the Role

Are you an experienced leader in logistics or supply chain looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a Shift Manager to take ownership of a late shift operation within a large, fast-paced distribution centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You'll lead a team of 3/4 First Line Managers and oversee around 20 colleagues, ensuring smooth operations, high performance, and exceptional service. This role is pivotal in driving productivity, maintaining safety standards, and supporting a major technology transformation.

What You'll Do

• Lead and inspire your team, creating a high-performance culture.
• Manage shift KPIs including productivity, accuracy, and safety compliance.
• Oversee inbound and outbound stock flow (large and delicate products).
• Ensure effective handovers and communication between shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement while maintaining stability during change.
• Manage labour budgets and staff rotas.
• Champion health & safety and wellbeing across the shift.
• Collaborate with other shift managers and key stakeholders in supply chain.

What we're looking for

• Must have previously worked as a Shift Manager or equivalent leadership role in logistics/supply chain.
• Strong people leadership skills – able to manage managers and coach for success.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Health & Safety knowledge (qualification desirable, experience essential).
• Improvement mindset with ability to manage change effectively.
• Knowledge of WMS systems (Oracle preferred) and good IT skills.
• Must be self-sufficient and hard working.
