Who we are

As the UK’s leading beer, cider and pub business, we’re home to some of the world’s best-loved beers and ciders, and a leading player in the international drinks industry.

We're the name behind a host of brilliant brands, from Inch’s to Birra Moretti and many more. And with around 2,400 pubs to our name in the UK, our Star Pubs business is all about putting pubs at the centre of community life.

But we’re more than just great beers and ciders – we’re a place where passion meets purpose, careers are crafted as carefully as our brews, and enjoyment of life is part of the job.

About the role

As the Shift Leader, you’ll report into the Head of Logistics, and play a central role in ensuring our colleagues on the production line continue to exude brilliance in every task they endeavour. With experience in managing people, you’ll engage with your teams to ensure that every colleague feels supported in their own professional and personal development, whilst also fostering collaboration with your peers for a functional & operating site; in adherence to our Total Productive Management (TPM) principles as a guiding framework.

Your main responsibilities also include:

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory flow, and material handling.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage shift activities, ensuring effective labour allocation and smooth workflow transitions.
  • Lead, supervise, and support warehouse staff throughout the shift to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management through stock control, cycle counts, reconciliation, and the reduction of discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with equipment usage and health and safety standards, including the safe operation of forklifts.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with team members, other shifts, and management to ensure operational alignment.
  • Coach, train, and onboard new employees, while reinforcing procedures and best practices.
  • Address and resolve conflicts, performance concerns, and operational issues in a calm, fair, and effective manner.
About the team

Helping millions of consumers enjoy our beers and ciders is a real team effort. As a Supply Chain colleague, you’ll be part of the biggest function in HEINEKEN UK!

From barley to bar, our Supply Chain produces high-quality beers and ciders, prioritising safety, sustainability and innovation to keep our operations running smoothly.

You’ll be based within the broader Customer, Logistics & Planning team, responsible for ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly across transportation, procurement, warehouse operations and much more! We take pride in consistently delivering the highest-quality brews to customers nationwide.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking a proactive leader who can inspire and motivate others to achieve exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Logistics or Warehouse exposure: Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment such as warehouses within Supply Chain, will help you succeed and empower those around you.
  • People Management Skills: A proven track record of leading teams with a supportive, engaging leadership style.
  • Laser-Focused on Safety: A solid commitment to health and safety with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Educational achievements: although not mandatory to have a Forklift Truck License or a Bachelor’s degree within Supply Chain or similar will help supplement your theoretical understanding to apply in a practical setting.

If you thrive in a dynamic environment and know how to bring out the best in your team, this is your chance to make an impact!
