🔧 Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias)

📍 Location: London
🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (excluding Sundays)
📞 On-Call: 1 week in 4, circa 3 months after starting

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Shift Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at a static site in central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional facilities management environment, supporting the smooth operation of building systems and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and general building services.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot systems including: Pumps, Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), Minor plumbing works, Water hygiene systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site‑specific procedures.
  • Participate in the on‑call rota (1 week in 4) following an initial onboarding period.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
  • Control of Legionella (dated within 2 years) or similar awareness certification
  • Proven experience in building services maintenance
Desirable
  • Fire door inspection qualification
  • Multi‑skilled across other building systems
