Job summary

A facilities management organisation based in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer to carry out routine electrical maintenance and reactive tasks. Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 in Electrical installation is mandatory.

4 days on 4 off rotating shift pattern + on‑call

Brief

Shift Electrical Engineer needed for a large facilities management organisation based in London who are looking to employ an experienced and well‑rounded individual that takes pride in their work with an in‑depth knowledge of electrical reactive tasks, ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.

The successful candidate must have an NVQ level 2 in Electrical installation and their 18th Edition. If you have your 2391 ticket or your AM2 cert that will be a bonus!

What the role entails
  • Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists. This position will also include the EICR testing for the site
  • Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to always maintain plant in serviceable order
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive work. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices
What experience you need to be successful
  • City and Guilds 236 A&B (2360 parts 1 and 2) or equivalent
  • IET 18th edition
  • City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 or 2391 / 2392 Electrical Testing & Inspection is required with experience of NICEIC documentation
  • Valid driving licence
  • PAT City & Guilds advantageous
  • Previous Hospital/Life Science experience would be advantageous
