Job description

Equans is looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sutton, Greater London. This is a permanent full‑time role, working 42 hours per week, based on a 4‑day rotating shift pattern between 07:00‑19:00, with an on‑call rota. Salary: £44,000 – £45,794.65 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits.

What will you deliver?
  • Ensure routine PPM is carried out for all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists, including EICR testing.
  • Complete reactive tasks and proactively identify and highlight improvement opportunities.
  • Swiftly remediate plant faults and defects to keep plant in serviceable order.
  • Provide spares lists and estimated timescales for maintenance and reactive work.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and pass it to the contract administrator without delay.
  • Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.

Who are we looking for?
  • City and Guilds 236 A & B (2360 parts 1 and 2) or equivalent.
  • IET 18th edition.
  • City & Guilds 2394/2395 or 2391/2392 Electrical Testing & Inspection with experience of NICEIC documentation.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • PAT City & Guilds is advantageous.
  • Previous Hospital/Life Science experience is advantageous.
