Abatec is recruiting for a permanent SHEQ Advisor to join their client, a leading contractor within the water and infrastructure sector, delivering complex design-and-build projects across multiple long‑term frameworks. With a strong regional presence and a commitment to innovation, they provide an environment where people are encouraged to grow, develop and reach their full potential.

This site‑based role is located at a major project in Bournemouth and will report directly to the Regional SHEQ Manager. You will play a key part in supporting the SHEQ function and embedding best‑practice standards across the project delivery lifecycle.

As SHEQ Advisor you will :
  • Understand and apply the company’s approach to managing SHEQ risk, driving best‑in‑class performance.
  • Monitor and review corrective actions to ensure clear, effective improvements.
  • Organise, support and contribute to SHEQ assurance audits.
  • Conduct and / or support accident and incident investigations.
  • Integrate with project teams to understand daily operational challenges.
