Sheltered Housing Manager

Location: West London.
Rate: £270 per day umbrella.
Duration: 3 months ongoing.
Arrangements: 5 days onsite.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Sheltered Housing Manager to oversee the day-to‑day management of sheltered housing schemes, ensuring a safe, supportive, and well‑maintained environment for residents. This role involves providing housing‑related support, coordinating building maintenance, and promoting resident wellbeing and independence within a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
Resident Support & Engagement
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, families, and external agencies.
  • Support residents to maintain their tenancies and live independently.
  • Organise and promote social activities and community engagement initiatives.
  • Identify and respond to welfare concerns, making referrals to appropriate support services.
  • Conduct regular wellbeing checks and home visits.
Housing & Property Management
  • Manage tenancy issues, including sign‑ups, rent queries, and low‑level complaints.
  • Oversee building maintenance, safety checks, and contractor visits.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety, health & safety, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Monitor voids and lettings processes to maintain full occupancy.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in sheltered housing, supported housing, or tenancy management.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and housing legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and empathy.
  • Organised and able to manage administrative duties effectively.
  • IT literate with experience using housing or CRM systems.
Desirable Qualifications
  • CIH Level 3 or equivalent in Housing / Support Services.
  • First Aid and Fire Safety training.
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required.
