A local authority is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their Community Meals Service. This role involves assisting with the regeneration process of frozen foods for a meal delivery service. Key responsibilities include managing stock, ensuring food hygiene compliance, and maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have kitchen hygiene experience, organisational skills, and the ability to work flexibly, including weekends. Training will be provided, though prior kitchen experience is desirable.
The Community Meals Service is looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist in the regeneration process of frozen foods for a hot meal delivery service.
You should be able to demonstrate experience of kitchen and kitchen equipment hygiene and have a knowledge of catering and food hygiene standards. Possess organisational skills, an ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative and to adhere to set timescales are essential.
Full training will be given, however, experience of working in a kitchen or catering setting is desirable.
You should have a flexible approach as weekend work is required.
