Job Description

Job Title: Sessional and Holiday Youth Support Worker

Location: Newham

Responsible to: Youth and Community Development Manager

Salary: £LLW-15 per hour (depending upon experience and qualifications)

Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for the development of youth projects and activities in line with REIN’s Policies and Procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Development and delivery of youth projects and activities including centre based Provision
  2. Development and delivery of comprehensive face to face thematic programmes focused on development and delivery of workshops as part of a life skills programme and issue/behaviour based youth work with young people..
  3. Ensure effective planning and evaluation procedures are used to maintain high quality delivery.
  4. Development and delivery of recorded and accredited outcomes for young people.
  5. Liaise with establishment colleagues and partners where appropriate/required to support the development of youth work programmes.
  6. To attend relevant training/development opportunities.
  7. Ensure effective communication links are developed and maintained with all partners.
  8. Provide timely, accurate and relevant information as required by management.
  9. To work collaboratively with REIN staff, volunteers, parents and strategic statutory partners to share good practice and ensure equality of opportunity and equal opportunities.
  10. Comply with REIN’s policies which support equality, diversity and anti-discriminatory practice.
  11. The post holder will have a safeguarding and health and safety responsibility for youth activities delivered.
  12. To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Line Manager or CEO.
