Job description
Overview

Working within our Bleckmann Distribution Centre, the Service Technician will perform maintenance duties to ensure productivity and output, equipment availability, health & safety compliance and quality.

As a Vanderlande company, we are a market leader in efficient logistics process automation within airports and parcel sectors and a leading supplier of process automation solutions for warehouses.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the top condition of the various installations.
  • Perform malfunction and maintenance work, including preventive and periodic maintenance, in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Resolve mechanical, electrical and control technical faults.
  • Maintain continuity of the customer process by contributing to customer satisfaction with an enthusiastic, proactive attitude and flexibility.
Physical requirements
  • Walking and mobility: extensive walking, including navigating warehouse automation and working at heights. Prolonged walking and standing required.
  • Heavy lifting: moving heavy objects including motors and rollers; follow proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
  • Restrictive spaces: occasional work in tight areas; follow safety guidelines.
  • Noise levels: work environment may be loud; PPE provided and safety regulations regarding noise exposure must be followed.
  • Working at height: may be required to work up to 30 meters; comfortable working at heights.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical / electrical discipline.
  • Willing to work shifts including nights.
  • Experience with maintenance planning.
  • Note: due to the nature of the business you will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Nice to have
  • Experience within an FMCG manufacturing or automated environment.
  • Experience in training/coaching.
