A leading water treatment company in the UK is looking for a Water Hygiene Operative / Service Technician to work from home with travel across Essex, Hertfordshire, and North London.   • Maintain safety standards in the field.

Overview

Job Title: Water Hygiene Operative / Service Technician. Location: Essex (role based from home with travel across your allocated region; based in Essex, Hertfordshire or North London depending on where you live). Employer: Severn Trent Services (Lakeside Water, now part of Severn Trent Services). Salary: £28,000 - £32,000. Role Type: Perm. Posting end date: 29-Sept-25.

Lakeside Water, now part of Severn Trent Services, was established in 1998 to deliver comprehensive water treatment and hygiene solutions across Industrial, Commercial, and Domestic sectors. Based in Cambridgeshire, Lakeside has built a strong national presence, offering end-to-end services in water treatment, legionella control, and compliance. Lakeside also designs and manufactures bespoke water treatment systems. This role involves travelling across the region in company vans and meeting health & safety compliance while delivering high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing multi-site visits across diverse geographic locations.
  • Carrying out monitoring and associated tasks in line with ACoP L8 when required.
  • Providing support to both customers and colleagues with technical input where required.
  • Carrying out Hazard/Risk assessments as required on each individual site.
  • Maintaining safety standards in the field.

Additional context: this is a starting-from-home role with travel across the allocated region in company vans. A Full UK driving licence is required.
