Role

As a Service Support Desk Receptionist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our operations at the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME), providing a professional and friendly first point of contact for all visitors and staff. This is a dynamic role where you’ll contribute to the smooth running of our IT Service Desk and support services, helping ensure our site remains secure, efficient, and welcoming.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors while performing essential security checks
  • Handling incoming calls and service requests within a busy Service Desk environment
  • Managing Motor Transport and Accommodation bookings
  • Issuing personal security and car parking passes
  • Supporting the wider Service Support Desk team with administrative tasks

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site.

Essential experience
  • Working in a reception, service desk or security environment
  • Using call logging systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
