Position Overview

Service Sales Specialist – UK Wide Travel & Hybrid Working. Competitive salary, bonus, company car allowance and standard UK benefits.

About the Role

Join our international Grid Automation Service Sales Team. Provide service solutions for substation automation systems, control & protection, cybersecurity, communication, and telecontrol technology. Responsible for tender process from initial request to contract closing and handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement service sales strategy and growth plans, engaging the installed base to promote upgrades and value-added solutions.
  • Use data to identify and develop sales opportunities across the company service portfolio.
  • Conduct sales calls, perform customer facility walk-throughs, generate leads, and develop new market opportunities.
  • Establish long-term customer relationships, understand requirements, demonstrate technical knowledge, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Sell the service product portfolio, monitor proposals, prepare offers, communicate contract details, and manage the administrative sales process.
  • Act as a marketer and salesperson during marketing activities, translating customer needs into relevant offerings.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, register information in SFDC, ensure technical reliability, safety, and cost-effective solutions, and comply with health and safety directives.
  • Provide technical directions for service sales training to less experienced staff and support management with key data and insights into markets and tactics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical disciplines or similar.
  • Proven experience in sales, sales support, and/or service of power systems/solutions (40% sales in the role).
  • Experience working with electric substation equipment (IED, RTU, SCADA, Communications) and recent technical sales or client-facing experience presenting solutions highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Operations & Maintenance practices of electric substation equipment and substation construction.
  • Available to travel.
