Overview
Teesside Together is recruiting a Service Manager to join our team delivering gold standard sexual health care across Teesside. You will ensure services are accessible, effective and responsive to community needs, covering strategic planning, operational management, team leadership and stakeholder engagement. We are seeking a dedicated team player who puts patients first and strives to improve local health.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operational elements of the sexual health service across four sites and outreach teams.
- Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to deliver high-quality care and respond to on-the-day queries from staff.
- Work with Alliance partners to improve services at a high level and ensure clinical governance, safeguarding and care quality standards.
- Coordinate programmes such as the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP), C-Card Scheme, and youth engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to service-wide budget management and cost effectiveness; oversee line management, including performance management, appraisals, sickness/absence management, personal development plans, and annual leave.
- Oversee data collection, analysis and reporting to inform service improvements and meet contractual obligations.
- Engage all organisations across the Alliance Partnership to input into service development and liaise with commissioners, local authorities, community partners and service users to shape service delivery.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation aligned with organisational goals.
Professional Development
- Keep up to date with mandatory training; attend in-house, online and external training to develop expertise.
- Update and maintain your knowledge and skills framework and share professional development with Teesside Together.
- Identify needs for further training and participate in appraisals and development plans as required.

Person Specification
Essential
- Recent experience of managing health or social care services.
- Experience in financial and performance management.
- Current, full UK driving licence and daily access to a car with business insurance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; strong leadership and team development abilities.
Desirable
- Clinical or public health background.
- Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health issues and public health frameworks.
- Familiarity with NHS commissioning service contracts.
- Experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable populations.

Location options include Park Towers, Hartlepool; Livewell Centre, Middlesbrough; Endurance House, Stockton-on-Tees; Redcar Heart, Redcar. Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per year. Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full-time with flexible working options. Post is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
