Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedCommunity Mental Health Hub Managerto lead the transformation of community mental health care in Bromley.

This Band 8a role is pivotal in delivering integrated, personalised, and preventative mental health services in partnership with primary care, local authorities, and voluntary sector organisations.

The post holder will be based atBeckenham Beacon Hospital and will operate with a high level of autonomy, driving service innovation and improvement in line with the NHS Long Term Plan.

Main duties of the job

• Lead the mobilisation and operational management of the Bromley Community Mental Health Wellbeing Hub.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team including staff from Oxleas NHS, SEL Mind, Bromley Local Authority, and third sector partners.
• Build strong partnerships with GPs, PCNs, and community stakeholders.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE).
• Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development for staff.
• Lead on service evaluation, audits, and research initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety standards.
• Participate in recruitment, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Contribute to strategic planning and service transformation.

Job responsibilities

• Work flexibly, including unsocial hours if required, to meet service needs.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMHN) with current NMC registration.
• Educated to Master's level or equivalent relevant experience.
• Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to the role
• Relevant teaching certificate (e.g., 998 or equivalent)
• Clinical or postgraduate management qualification or equivalent experience
• Project management qualification or demonstrable skills in leading service development

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years at Band 7 in a role relevant to the post.
• Experience working across both inpatient and community mental health settings
• Experience providing clinical supervision to staff or teams.
• Experience in delivering skills training or teaching within a clinical or educational setting.
• Experience managing health or social care services, including multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record in service redesign and partnership working with stakeholders.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

• Outstanding communication skills across a wide range of professional and clinical situations.
• Ability to manage own workload and work autonomously, including handling complex clinical and professional scenarios.
