Service Engineer – Southwest

📍 Location: Southwest (Home-based with flexibility to travel)
💷 Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Additional Callout Allowance

Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in security systems? We’re looking for a proactive and skilled individual to join our team, maintaining and repairing cutting-edge security solutions at customer premises.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out reactive fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on:
  • CCTV (including IP CCTV), Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Door Entry Systems.
  • Server and Workstation Hardware/Software.
• Participating in a 24/7 on-call rota (currently 1 in 3 weeks, with additional pay).
• Ensuring professional and timely responses to client requests while keeping them informed of job progress.
• Performing site visits across the UK and Europe, with occasional overnight stays as needed.
• Completing service paperwork and demonstrating completed work to clients.
• Providing feedback to improve service delivery and enhance client satisfaction.
• Assisting Junior Engineers as needed and monitoring their performance.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• ✔ Proven experience with CCTV, IP CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm Systems.
• ✔ Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• ✔ Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• ✔ Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
• ✔ Proficiency with completing service-related paperwork accurately.

Bonus Skills:

• 🔑 Familiarity with BS EN ISO9001:2000 and NSI (NACOSS) procedures.
• 🔑 Experience managing or mentoring Junior Engineers.
• 🔑 Knowledge of server and workstation hardware/software configurations.
