Gates & Barriers Service Engineer

Birmingham-based with travel involved

32,000 - 40,000 per annum + Company vehicle and additional payments & benefits

Permanent position

A European and UK leader in gate automation, barriers, and turnstile systems, is seeking an experienced Service Engineer who demonstrates expertise in automation and maintains exceptional standards of workmanship.

Working hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automated access control solutions. Operating both independently and within a team, the Service Engineer will represent the company's values by providing dependable service and upholding the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain and diagnose faults on access control equipment including automatic gates, barriers, doors, and turnstile systems in line with industry regulations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service onsite and propose effective solutions to client needs.
  • Assist install and commissioning engineers with tasks when required
  • Complete detailed reports and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Role Requirements
  • Proven experience in service and maintenance of automatic / automated gate and door automation, barriers, etc.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Demonstrated proactive approach and advanced problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience utilising computers and tablets in a professional setting.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professionalism and customer service focussed
