Field Service Engineer

Location: Kidderminster (UK-wide travel required)

Hours: Day-shift, 39 hours per week, Loads of overtime available

A UK-based engineering company located in Kidderminster, specialising in industrial engineering solutions. The business provides installation, servicing, and breakdown support for manufacturing equipment across the UK.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our service team. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role involving the installation, servicing, and repair of industrial equipment at customer sites nationwide. The position requires regular UK-wide travel and hands‑on work with mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Maintenance

  • Service and maintain customer equipment on‑site
  • Remove, inspect, and refit pumps or other components
  • Check switches, sensors, and overall system operation
  • Clean, maintain, and tidy equipment to company standards
  • Replace service parts and consumables where necessary

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install new equipment on customer sites
  • Complete electrical interface connections
  • Carry out testing and commissioning of equipment
  • Ensure systems are operating correctly and safely

Breakdown & Fault Finding

  • Provide breakdown coverage across the UK
  • Diagnose, repair, and resolve faults or damage
  • Support customers with reactive service requirements
Hours, Pay & Benefits
  • Salary: ?40,000-?50,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Standard contract: 39 hours per week, day‑shift
  • Overtime available all the time
