Join my clients' growing technical team as a Service Engineer, supporting cutting-edge special purpose machinery from their site-based facility.

As a Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising bespoke machinery. You'll be working directly on complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems—diagnosing issues, carrying out preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment performs to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, repair, and maintenance of special purpose machinery within our site
  • Perform fault diagnosis on mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades
  • Provide technical support and advice to colleagues, ensuring machinery is running at peak performance
  • Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of work completed
  • Work closely with internal engineering, design, and customer support teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times
Experience & Skills Required
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent preferred)
  • Proven experience working with automated or special purpose machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented approach to engineering
