Job summary

A leading consulting firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Service Designer to enhance public services in line with government standards. This role focuses on working within multidisciplinary teams to design user-centred and accessible services. Candidates must have proven experience in the UK public sector and a strong understanding of the GDS Service Standard. This position is fully remote for a duration of 3 months, offering a competitive daily rate.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end services across the full-service lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain service blueprints, user journeys, and artefacts.
  • Collaborate with product, design, delivery, research, and technical teams.
  • Apply systems thinking to complex service problems.
  • Ensure services meet GDS Service Standard and assessment requirements.

Duration : 3 months

We are seeking an experienced Service Designer with Government Digital Service (GDS) experience to design and improve end-to-end public services. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure services are user-centred, accessible, and meet the GDS Service Standard.

Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Service Designer on GDS / UK public sector services
  • Strong understanding of the GDS Service Standard and service assessments
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to design for accessibility and inclusion
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
