• Full GMC registration Entry on GMC Specialist Register required.
• Extensive experience in managing complex retinal detachments and diabetic vitreoretinal disease.
• Ability to advise on efficient running of specialist services.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for colleagues during leave and manage junior doctors.
• Join the consultant on call rota and provide emergency VR cover.
• Teach and train junior staff and undergraduates.

Skills

Extensive experience in vitreoretinal surgery

Ability to work in a team

Good interpersonal skills

Experience in service development

Education

Full GMC registration

FRCOphth or Equivalent
