A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a thriving and progressive practice in the Barnsley area. This role is ideal for someone with strong clinical experience and a passion for leadership, looking to take the next step in their nursing career.
As the Senior RVN, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the nursing and auxiliary team at the branch. You'll ensure smooth clinical operations and uphold professional standards, all while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. You'll also work closely with the wider clinical leadership team and be actively involved in the clinical workload.
About the Practice:
This well-established and proudly independent veterinary group operates a state-of-the-art hospital and multiple branch practices across West Yorkshire. The hospital offers 24/7 emergency care and is equipped with:
• CT scanner & visiting MRI truck
• Digital x-ray, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and ultrasound
• Fully equipped in-house lab
• Separate wards for cats, dogs, exotics, and ICU
• High-sterility surgical theatres
In addition, the group boasts:
• An on-site animal rehabilitation centre (ARC)
• A dedicated behaviour team
• Access to expertise across a team of over 100 clinical staff, including vets, RVNs, and support staff
The practice is accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, with hospital status at the main site and GP status across branches.
