An exciting opportunity for a driven underwriter looking to elevate their career by joining an experienced but growing Power & Renewables team. This role offers significant exposure to complex risks, the energy transition, and global markets and would suit somebody hungry to grow their technical and strategic underwriting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a profitable portfolio within the Power & Renewables sector.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities via London Market brokers and international offices.
• Apply technical expertise to assess and price risk, working closely with engineers on benchmarking and risk management.
• Stay informed on claims trends and collaborate with claims and engineering teams to incorporate insights into underwriting.
• Ensure underwriting practices align with regulatory and internal standards.
• Contribute to the ongoing refinement of pricing models, portfolio monitoring, and exposure management.
• Provide market insights and support internal reporting on portfolio performance.
• Participate in underwriting and risk-related committees and initiatives.
• Mentor junior underwriters and support knowledge-sharing within the team.
• Represent the business at industry events and client meetings as needed.
