Job summary

A leading financial consulting firm in London seeks an Associate General Counsel to manage legal functions for the U.K. and E.U. This includes contract law, negotiations, and compliance framework development. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and 10 to 12 years of corporate law experience. You will lead the legal team and support the General Counsel in managing legal and compliance functions while providing strategic legal advice across various business areas. This role requires a strong attention to detail and excellent negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in corporate law.
• 3+ years’ experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably initially with a prominent UK law firm.
• Practical working knowledge of UK and EU GDPR, and the EU AI Act.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of day-to-day legal functions.
• Advise on UK and EU corporate governance requirements.
• Support corporate transactions including M&A and strategic alliances.
