Overview

Senior Transport Planner – Southampton – £40,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

We're working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy who are looking to grow their Southampton office with the addition of a Senior Transport Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role in a thriving team, delivering a wide variety of projects across the UK - from residential and retail schemes to education and mixed-use developments. You'll be stepping into a role with responsibility, variety, and genuine scope for progression.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing complex transport planning projects from start to finish
  • Preparing Transport Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans and Parking Strategies
  • Advising on sustainable transport and supporting S278/S106 applications
  • Working with TRICS, PICADY, ARCADY (and ideally some knowledge of LINSIG)
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members as part of a collaborative environment
  • Building relationships with clients and providing clear, commercially aware advice
  • Contributing to the promotion of development sites, planning applications, and condition discharges
What we're looking for
  • Previous consultancy experience in transport planning (senior level)
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport planning policy, guidance and approvals processes
  • Technical experience with junction design (roundabouts/signals) and transport modelling
  • Confident communicator with excellent client-facing and project management skills
  • Ambition to continue developing commercially while helping grow a busy regional team
