Job description
Senior Transport Planner

Location: Central London

Salary: 45k - 55k + package including a yearly bonus dependent on experience

Emtech are working with a civil engineering & transport planning consultancy based in Central London who are growing and have taken on a wide range of new projects commencing this year. As part of their continued growth plan they are now looking for a Senior Transport Planner to join their team in London.

As part of the wider transport planning team across the UK your role in London will sit underneath the Associate Director with responsibility for managing your own projects and clients. You will be expected to project manage schemes and delegate / review work from junior team members. You could be someone who feels stuck where they are and wants an opportunity to take on responsibility and progress.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Effective management of projects, assuming day to day control and ensuring budget constraints and timescales are adhered to
  • Production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Technical Notes and overseeing the production of report based work for a range of development projects
  • Delegating certain tasks to Engineers and Technicians, assisting in the training of junior team members
  • Working knowledge of junctions design, highway design, DMRB, S278, S38, AutoCAD would be useful
  • Building client relationships and inputting into the preparation of fee proposals
