Our Robotic Theatres Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Robotic Theatre Practitioner. We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and dynamic individual with scrub experience in Robotic Urology and open Urology Surgery. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills to support the team in achieving high standards of patient care within theatres and act as deputy for the band 7 Clinical lead. In return we offer comprehensive training in all aspects of our service.

As a provider of patient-centred care, we are passionate about delivering excellent care to our local and extended population in the acute environment and have achieved large gains in productivity and efficiency through improved capacity management and real‑time tracking of theatre activity.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

  • Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the peri‑operative care of patients using specialist knowledge and skills.
  • Acknowledge personal preferences, rights and choice of patients undergoing surgery.
  • Maintain health, safety, and infection control in clinical work areas in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Store, prepare and administer prescribed drugs to patients, and monitor the effects of drugs on patients in line with Trust policies.
  • Prepare, monitor, and maintain materials and equipment for clinical procedures, taking action if found to be faulty.
  • Support, monitor and care for patients during clinical procedures.
  • Contribute to treating patients during clinical emergencies.
  • Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate & legible records of care.
