Job description
Senior Theatre Practitioner – Newcastle Hospital – Nursing – Permanent – Full Time – Includes Weekend Work

Salary: depending on skills and experience – 37.5 hours per week

Job responsibilities
  • Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
  • Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff in full compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards, including CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence‑based guidelines.
  • Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion and supporting them to cope emotionally with their care, treatment or condition.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians within the hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Take charge of a theatre, coordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.
