  • Strong experience with synthesis tools and timing analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in verification at IP and SoC levels (UVM, SV, etc.).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive execution to meet project goals.
  • Ability to function as a team player, agile-minded, proactive, and highly organised.

Overview

The successful candidate will join the microcontroller (MCU) product development group where you will work on developing our broad portfolio of next‑generation scalable MCUs. The breadth of our portfolio, for example, includes Automotive, Connectivity and Communication, Motor Control, Functional Safety, Security, Touch, and General Purpose. You will join the product development team in our Cambridge Design Centre, working on SoC products from concept through to volume production.

An opening exists for a Senior Technical Staff Engineer in our Design team with an interest in technical leadership of SoC projects. This will involve working with architects during the concept phase, developing the microarchitecture specification, planning the detailed project plan, and technically leading the SoC design activities. You will work alongside experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip’s best‑in‑class engineering practices. Working side‑by‑side with some of the brightest minds and most innovative people in the industry, you won’t just fill a position, you will be given an opportunity on a team where your contributions matter.
