Overview

Creative Support is a national, fast growing not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to cover maternity leave for 9 months in our Durham Service in Consett, beginning 5 October 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and organise the service to maintain flexible and high quality care.
  • Supervise and manage a team of staff within the service, including staff supervisions and rota organisation.
  • Work with our Positive Behaviour Support framework and build warm, trusting, caring relationships with service users.
  • Provide medication support for service users and medication supervision for staff.
  • Support service users to lead fulfilling lives, maintain their tenancies, participate in the local community, develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals and outcomes.
  • Support the service in a 24/7 environment with sleepovers, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Knowledge of CQC reporting is useful but training can be provided.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience within care and support, with the ability to lead a team and provide effective support.
  • Ability to cover maternity leave and manage responsibilities in a supported living setting.
  • Location: Durham Road service just outside of Consett; eligibility to work in the UK is required.
