Overview

Do you have positive values along with commitment and expertise so that you can make a difference to the lives of individuals with physical disabilities in the Salford area?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated senior worker to join our physical disabilities services in Salford. Working alongside a Registered manager, you will assist with the management and delivery of high quality care and support services. You will need to be positive about communicating with and supporting people in a person centered manner.

You must have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will also have skills in the assessment of needs along with positive and proactive risk management so that support planning for individuals demonstrates an active and fulfilling life with an emphasis on a ‘can do’ approach.

You will have the maturity to lead a team in the absence of the registered manager, accept responsibility and provide clear guidance, supervision and support to the team. You will be able to communicate positively and professionally with families and professionals and actively promote consultation and partnership working.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management and delivery of high quality care and support services for people with physical disabilities in Salford, working alongside the Registered Manager.
  • Lead a team in the absence of the Registered Manager, providing clear guidance, supervision and support.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with families and professionals; promote consultation and partnership working.
  • Support people in a person-centred manner and demonstrate unconditional positive regard.
  • Contribute to assessment of needs and proactive risk management to support active, fulfilling lives with a can-do approach.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Skills in positive communication and engagement; ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard.
  • Experience in needs assessment and proactive risk management for support planning.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team and communicate effectively with professionals and families.
  • Driving license is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training, including accredited management training and health and social care diplomas.
