Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in Health Care.
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or functional skills equivalent).

Position: Senior Health Care Assistant

Care home: Lonnen Grove

Location: Kimberworth, Rotherham

Contract type: Full time, 42 hours per week, must be flexible

Rate: £12.77

About the role

Our Senior Health Care Assistants work closely with the Nurse in Charge and lead Care Teams in supporting every aspect of our residents’ day‑to‑day lives.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • leading, motivating and supporting a team of care colleagues
  • supporting people to take part in social activities, both in and out of the home
  • encouraging people to maximise their independence and build everyday living skills
  • supporting people to access the local community
  • assisting people with their personal hygiene
  • assisting people at meal times, including with cooking
  • understanding individual health and wellbeing needs
  • promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect
  • completing and maintaining care records
About you
