Senior Structural Engineer

Scarborough

£50k-£55k plus benefits

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for talented Senior Structural Engineer to join the business within their Scarborough team. The role:

• Your primary focus will be to undertake structural design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Add value to a wide range of construction projects across the complete construction spectrum. Current projects include Schools, Colleges & Universities, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy
• You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, maintain high technical standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

About you:

• You should be proactive a self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player
• A BEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil & structural engineering, with a focus on designing and delivering complex projects
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body
• Proficiency in using industry-standard software for structural analysis and design
• Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and regulations
• Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members
• Full UK driving licence
