Calling all Senior Structural Engineers!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to join a well-established consulting engineering firm, in a permanent position. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site from our client's office, near Chelmsford, 5 days a week. This is an incredible opportunity to work on a variety of large-scale projects from a range of sectors, such as residential, commercial, and public buildings, creating and developing designs with a supportive team.

Competitive salary ranging from £55,000-£65,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead structural engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and review detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Attend site visits and inspections as required.
What We Are Looking For
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng preferred).
  • Ideally Chartered or near-chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
  • Extensive experience with low rise and medium rise residential projects, and a considerable amount of experience leading teams.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Tekla, Tedds, Robot, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with an ability to manage projects within a limited deadline and budget.
