Contract Role: Sn Storage Engineer

Rate: 500 - 550 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: Hybrid - 1-2 days London

Contract Length: 6 months rolling

Start Date: Jan 5th Ideally

Clearance: Current SC Clearance (Mandatory)

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Sn Storage Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise storage transformation. This Inside IR35 role requires a contractor with extensive hands‑on experience deploying Pure Storage solutions, delivering complex data migrations, and operating confidently across both NAS and SAN environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and optimise Pure Storage arrays
• Lead data migrations from Dell EMC VMAX and Commvault systems
• Deliver expert‑level support and management across SAN and NAS platforms
• Oversee storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• Troubleshoot complex storage incidents in high‑availability environments
• Support upgrades, lifecycle management, and transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and backup teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration
• Produce clear documentation and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background as a Storage Engineer in enterprise‑scale environments
• Proven experience deploying Pure Storage solutions
• Hands‑on experience with data migrations from Dell EMC VMAX and Commvault
• Deep expertise in SAN and NAS storage technologies
• Strong understanding of Fibre Channel, zoning, LUN management, replication, and DR strategies
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Current and active SC clearance (mandatory)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Desirable Skills

• Experience working within secure or government environments
• Automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud‑integrated storage platforms
