What you will do:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care in a 12-bedded multi-specialty surgical unit, offering support, leadership, and expertise.
  • Oversee a 6-bedded Enhanced Care Unit with in-room cardiac monitoring and a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit.
  • Provide clinical leadership, support junior colleagues, and serve as a role model within the team.
  • Manage patients across various specialties, including GI, Gynae, Orthopaedics, Breast, Spinal, and Liver surgery.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of care in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and maintain effective communication.

Who we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in a surgical inpatient setting, particularly with cardiac and thoracic surgery.
  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through relevant post-registration courses.
  • Experience mentoring or precepting junior colleagues, fostering professional growth.
  • Competency in Basic Life Support.
