Qualifications

  • MPharm or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • At least 2 years of experience in clinical pharmacy service after registration.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Specialist Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Private Care at Guys, part of London Bridge Hospital currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK’s largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care. Spread over three main buildings and five outpatient centres, it is home to a number of specialist units and teams across a wide range of disciplines including orthopaedic, spinal, digestive diseases, liver, hepatobiliary, renal, cardiothoracic, critical care, cancer and transplant services.

Role Details

Role: Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Oncology)
Site: Private Care at Guys, Central London – part of London Bridge Hospital
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon‑Fri 0900‑1730 with contribution to lates, Saturday and on‑calls on a rota basis)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive depending on experience with excellent benefits

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the delivery, management and development of a high quality, proactive, cost‑effective, safe and responsive patient‑centric systemic anti‑cancer (SACT) pharmacy service at London Bridge Hospital: Private Care at Guys.
• Work closely with (and at times deputise for) the Lead Pharmacist for Oncology and Haematology and other members of our multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patients are able to safely access the latest treatments in oncology and haematology.

  • MPharm or equivalent
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Qualifications (Desirable)
  • Postgraduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
  • Independent Prescriber
Experience (Essential)
  • Experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service to wards (post‑registration)
  • Previous experience of working in Oncology
  • Practical experience in an Aseptic Production Unit & GMP
Experience (Desirable)
  • Mosaiq, BD Cato, Meditech knowledge
