Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Mon-Fri with contribution to lates; Saturday and on-calls on a rota basis

Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Specialist Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at London Bridge Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK’s largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care, with a multidisciplinary focus across orthopaedic, spinal, digestive diseases, liver, hepatobiliary, renal, cardiothoracic, critical care, cancer and transplant services.

The successful post holder will participate in the delivery, management and development of a high quality, proactive, cost effective, safe and responsive patient-centric systemic anti-cancer (SACT) pharmacy service at London Bridge Hospital: Private Care at Guys. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with (& deputise for) the Lead Pharmacist for Oncology and Haematology and other MDT members to ensure patients can access the latest treatments in oncology.

What you’ll bring
  • MPharm or equivalent (essential)
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Post-graduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service to wards (essential, post-registration)
  • Previous experience in Oncology (essential - post-registration minimum 3 years)
  • Practical experience in an Aseptic Production Unit & GMP (essential)
  • Previous experience of managing staff (desirable)
  • Independent Prescriber qualification or willing to undertake (desirable)
  • Experience delivering education & training to undergraduate & postgraduate pharmacy and multidisciplinary staff (desirable)
  • Mosaiq, BD Cato, Meditech knowledge (desirable)
