Job description

The Role

As a Senior Spa Therapist, you will be able to offer guests our full range of treatments, covering face and body treatments, your client service and interaction will be excellent. You will ensure full knowledge of our products and services. In addition, you will support the Spa Manager and Spa Supervisor to manage a large team of therapists helping them to develop and achieve Utopia Spa service and technical standards together with their retail targets.

In addition to the duties of a Spa Therapist you will be required to;

• Guide and support, train and coach the Spa Therapists liaising with the Spa Manager & Supervisor with any ongoing issues of performance.
• Be a support and mentor for Spa Therapists day to day issues.
• To assist the Spa Supervisor during busy times as lead host, to meet and greet guests arriving at the Spa.
• Ensure all Spa Therapists are meeting and greeting guests to standard, assisting with any queries when they need support.
• Ensuring all Spa Therapists are maintaining good cleanliness, hygiene and appearance standards in all treatment rooms and back of house areas of the Spa.
• Audit all Treatment Protocols ensuring full compliance by all Spa Therapists, offering coaching / training where required.
• Mentor and be approachable to Spa Therapists allowing them to share concerns, feedback and needs to encourage them to develop.
• Be responsible for monthly stock takes ensuring adequate stocks to ensure service and demands can be met.
• Deputise for the Spa Manager and Spa Supervisor by covering some duties, when needed.

The Requirements

Flexible working days : 36 hrs + overtime over 5 days.

Regular shifts are 09.45 18.15 and 10.45-19.15 with some flexibility needed to meet special guest requirements.

NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent is essential.

Completion of a trade test with the Spa Manager prior to recruitment.

Desired experience of the following would be a distinct advantage, Temple Spa, pregnancy massage, hot stones massage, bamboo massage, reflexology.
